Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatu Allahi wa BarakatuHu,
In sha Allah this message reaches you in a state of high eman and health. We have been progressing successfully through the course of this school year. To keep your in the loop, we have the following updates.
STEM Week is coming up soon and will include an array of exciting activities for our learners here at Crescent Academy. There will be an animal show, STEM theater show, STEM Night, as well as ongoing activities throughout the week. Students are excited about the different learning opportunities coming ahead, and we are happy to see them so engaged. Please encourage your child to take part in the different planned events, as well as join us for as many activities as you can. May Allah make it an engaging and enriching experience for us all.
Student Trimester Exams are around the corner. Students will be tested on the material they have been learning in their various areas of study over the next two weeks. Though your child may be nervous, there is no need to stress. In school we will be reviewing and preparing students and they also have ample time to review and refresh themselves. They have really learned a lot this trimester and exams are just to help them realize how far they have come on their journey of learning this year alhamdulilah.
Students have also begun preparing for the upcoming Inter Islamic Schools Debates. These debates will span 8th grades of at least 4 different Islamic schools and we want to show our best come debate day! Students have been learning the different components of debate and working hard to refine their arguments and insure that they are strong both in form and presentation. Though we want to present ourselves as strong debaters, we are also very excited to get to meet Muslim students from other schools and form lasting relationships with them. More details about the debates will be coming soon insha'Allah.
As you can see, we have a lot we have been doing and are really learning so much this year alhamduliLah. In the future, please check this Weebly site for the class newsletter and for any updates regarding the 8th grade class. Updates can be found on the homepage. Please feel free to contact myself, or any of the other 8th grade teachers. We value any input we receive from you.
Jazakum Allahu Khairan
