Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatu Allahi wa BarakatuHu,
I would like to extend my warmest welcome to the incoming eighth grade class in the year 2013-14, their parents, friends, and all those who are cheering for their success. It is with great pleasure that we are starting the new school year. Over the summer we have been planning, fine tuning, rethinking, and preparing for a productive and engaging year.
Eighth grade is an important year here at Crescent Academy, because it is the year that the students show us all the great skills and concepts they have mastered over the course of their study at our school. Additionally, our eighth graders stand as exemplars for the remainder of the student body and act as guides and mentors for younger students who are looking up to their older, more experienced, and more mature peers. For these reasons we are very excited to open our doors to the new eighth grade class and begin this journey of transformation with them.
Our school wide theme this year is "Being Faithful: Truth, Trust, and Steadfastness". In light of this, we invite our eight graders to reflect on how this year can represent this theme for them. We have many activities, school trips, and culminating experiences planned for our eighth graders. We hope that with every new experience, they will rise to the occasion and really live out this year's theme insha'Allah.
All this being said, I hope that you will view me as a partner in developing and growing your students. I consider it a great privilege that you have entrusted me with your child's education and will do my best to uphold that trust. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns. I am always open for communication. You can contact me through the contact link above or at [email protected].
We have the highest expectations for this eighth grade class and foresee a year in which students will not only rise to our expectations but even surpass them. May Allah (swt) bless this year and give us victory and success and may He guide all our actions to His pleasure. I look forward to a great year of learning and growing.
