عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " آيَةُ الْمُنَافِقِ ثَلَاثٌ ، إِذَا حَدَّثَ كَذَبَ ، وَإِذَا وَعَدَ أَخْلَفَ ، وَإِذَا اؤْتُمِنَ خَانَ

On the Authority of Abu Huraira, the Prophet Sallah Allahu Alaihee wa Salam said: The sign(s) of the hypocrite are 3: If he speaks he lies, if he promises he breaks his promies, and if he is entrusted he betrays.
